The Suffolk-wide Covid response Communications Group has created a new vaccination webpage which has now been added to the Suffolk County Council website: www.suffolk.gov.uk/covidvaccinations.
Its purpose is to provide a central resource for information about the Covid-19 vaccination programme in Suffolk. It includes Suffolk-specific vaccination information including locations, information about the vaccines available and advice on how to register with your GP if you haven’t already.
Given that the county retains a split system of Health CCGs (one for ‘Suffolk’, but without Waveney which is placed with Norfolk), there has previously been no single location for information which covers the whole county. This is particularly pertinent in East Suffolk which is represented by both of the aforementioned CCGs.
Content on these pages is provided by the NHS and the vaccination programme is run by NHS England.
The next phase of centres have now been announced (in addition to Kirkley Mill which is already operational) and are as follows:
- Sole Bay Health Centre, Reydon
- Saxmundham Health
- Sizewell Sports & Social Club, Leiston
- The Grove Medical Centre, Felixstowe
- Woodbridge Community Hall
In terms of transport to vaccinations, the Suffolk On Board site can help people to access community transport - https://communities.suffolkonboard.com/ - other options are friends and families or taxis. In some circumstances the Covid Community (hardship) fund may be approached.
Please be aware of a vaccine scam! See the image above for information.
