About Our Village

Waldringfield is a small and pretty parish village on the banks of the River Deben in the south of the beautiful county of Suffolk. It lies within Suffolk Coastal District and in the Suffolk Coasts and Heaths AONB. It can be found just to the south of Woodbridge and east of Martlesham. Nearby are the villages of Newbourne and Hemley and the County town of Ipswich also within easy reach.

Suffolk Coasts and Heaths AONB 

Located on the coast of East Anglia, the Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) encompasses 155 square miles of wildlife-rich wetlands, ancient heaths, windswept shingle beaches and historic towns and villages.

Parish Council 

ALL PARISH COUNCIL MEETINGS ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Who are your councillors?

There is an opportunity at these meetings to put information to the Council and ask questions. If anyone wishes to see paper copies of planning applications, report problems, etc., please contact the Clerk at pc.waldringfield@googlemail.com to arrange this. Details are normally availale to view on the East Suffolk DC website.

Keep Waldringfield Tidy 

Waldringfield is a lovely place to visit and live, so lets keep it that way.

Please take your litter home with you or use the bins provided.

If you are visiting the beach, there is a bin compound  near the Maybush, for disposing of your rubbish. Please try to separate into recycling or non-recycling.

Glass can go into the Bottle Banks in the Maybush Car Park.

If you are crabbing from the beach please remember to take all your tackle home with you and please remove hooks from purchased fishing lines (Crabs don't need hooks) as they are a danger to other animals especially dogs.

If you take a dog with you when you walk around the village, please remember:Dog faeces are harmful to children and adults

  • Take enough bags with you for picking up
  • Use the Dog Bins provided, litter Bins are close to seating.
  • Remind any other dog owner to pick up if they forget to do so.
  • Offer a bag to someone who has forgotten to bring one.
  • Church Field Trust welcomes dogs on leads, but please pick up any fouling.
  • The playing field is for children, so no dogs please.
  • It is against the law to allow your dog to foul public pathways and places, including the beach.
