Giles- a new play
Events_Page , Events_Page

For over 50 years Carl Giles was one of the UK’s best loved cartoonists, yet he chose to spend most of his time in Suffolk.
Waldringfield had a place in Giles’ heart – he kept a boat moored here and one of his original cartoons hangs in the Maybush. What of the man behind the drawings? He rarely gave interviews – yet his life was as rich and colourful as one of the front covers of his annuals. Let’s glimpse between the pages to see the loves and hates, passion and pain of the man who, with the creation of Grandma and her brood, became one of the most famous cartoonists of the 20th century.
