WALDRINGFIELD WINTER TALKS
AT THE VILLAGE HALL
First Winter Talk of 2012
"The Heritage Maritime Trail"
Thursday, November 1st at 7.30 pm
The average crow has to fly only eight miles to reach Harwich from Waldringfield. Go by road and it’s a daunting 24 miles unless you take the ferry, by appointment, from Felixstowe. Whichever, its well worth the trip as the Vice President of the Harwich Society, David Whittle, will explain in his talk.
Admission remains at £3 and includes the cost of refreshments.Dates for the future Winter Talks are:
- December 6th - Paddy Heazell, an author, historian and volunteer warden for the National Trust will divulge more of the Secrets of Orford Ness,
- January 3rd when Jonathan Ruffle, radio journalist and producer will narrate the top ten things he did not know about the Great War (until recently that is)
- February 7th - about which more details will follow next month - but keep it free, especially if you believe in the Olympic legacy.
- The date for March - to be confirmed
- April the History group will present 'Post War Waldringfield - Waldringfield from 1945 to 1963'
