WALDRINGFIELD HISTORY GROUP TALKS

THE WALDRINGFIELD HISTORY GROUP HAS ARRANGED TWO SPEAKERS FOR THIS SEASON.

Roger Stollery is a member of the Group. He will be speaking on 'Innovation, Design, Architecture and the Deben in colour' on February 14th  starting at 2pm (NB 2pm).

Julia Jones, local author, blogger and publisher, will be speaking on March 14th at 2.30 pm. The talk is entitled '1946 - Coming home to Waldringfield'.  She will talk about her father, George Jones' experiences leading up to the WW2 including the voyage on Naromis about which she has written a good book. She will also talk about his experiences after being demobbed in 1946 and setting up a yacht brokering business in Waldringfield.

Both talks will be followed by tea; the History Group will then resume its normal activities (preparing for an April Talk and working on 'the book', etc).  Admission to non-members will be £4 including refreshments /biscuits/cake. Capacity is strictly restricted (as we are confined to the Kennedy Room) to 48 people. If you intend to come to one or both of these talks please let us know by emailing waldringfieldhg@gmail.com to book a place.

We hope to see you there - in the Kennedy Room on February 14th at 2pm and on March 14th at 2.30 pm"
