Thursday Winter Talk

Tommies : 28 October 1914

by Jonathan Ruffle

It starts at 07.30 pm in the big hall.

One of last year’s  top presentations  was  Jonathan Ruffle’s “hidden Stories of the First World War”. The audience was so enthusiastic that they did not have time for a tea break.

The last talk told about some of his research for a Radio 4 series on WW1

The Radio 4 programme now goes out every week on Radio 4. I copied this from the the BBC web site
Take a look at the BBC web site
http://www.bbc.co.uk/search?q=tommies
At our Village Hall talk, Jonathan will talk about how he put the series together. There are going to be some fascinating in-sights and the sound effects will take you straight back to the trenches.
Don’t forget to wear your poppies.

Previous: APPLE PRESSING AND PUMPKIN TEA PARTY
Next: Christmas Cracker Workshop
