Jeff says that for him Wildlife Photography is about capturing images of creatures that are wild and free combined with the essential elements of good field craft skills and some knowledge of the subject's behaviour/habitat and infinite patience usually playing a major part.  "The Golden Rule of Wildlife Photography is that the interests and wellbeing of the subject must always come first."
Jeff has held Schedule 1 licences from Natural England to photograph Kingfishers and Barn Owls and more recently Avocets at their nesting sites for several years although such licences are site specific.  Kingfishers are one of the relatively uncommon species afforded the highest degree of legal protection under Schedule 1 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.countryside
So do come along to enjoy the opportunity to see some Kingfishers - Up Close and Personal and to learn something more about the Kingfisher lifestyle.  Jeff will be bringing photographic prints/cards which will be for sale at very reasonable costs so a good opportunity to start preparing for Christmas and birthday gifts that may be approaching in the near future.
